A Happy New Year from La Swan Guesthouse in Welkom. As we enter a new year we would like to thank every Guest that visited us during 2010. Thank you to all the celeb’s that made use of our facilities and thanks to the great regulars that have become like a small second family to us. Our family at the guesthouse have grown a bit during the year: Elize Steyn joined us as the new manager and unofficial photographer. Two ugly duckling were born that turned into beautiful black swans during the summer. We rescued a small turtle from the middle of the road in Welkom. And our Mommy and Daddy Swans have laid 5 more eggs during the holiday season. We installed a new Lapa next to the pool (with a small built in braai) And we are currently busy upgrading the outside of the Guesthouse to make...

Welcome to the new La Swan blog. As one of the premier Guesthouses in Welkom we would like to welcome you to our new website. Through this site we will keep you updated on what is happening in the Free State Goldfields and what you can expect when you visit the nicest little Bed and Breakfast in the Goldfields.
